One
of many drawings which stemmed from the Mayan doodles. I began to
grow attached to certain desing motifs repeated & reconfiured
through out the Mayan doodles, and started incorporating them less
as psychedelic vistas, and more as some sort of ancient machinery.
This illustration was done at the same time as this
drawing, which was the inspiration for Sphinks,
which I feel to be the culmination of all the work. This piece,
however, has some creepy Lovecraftian qualities which earned it
a spot on the site.
