'Prana' is a sanskrit term for the unseen life energy, also known as chi. Prana is said to be the true energy source for all life and is directly related to the concept of Kundalini.

This drawing explores details of the full Prana sketch, working out the arrangement around the head.

During research into the concept of Kundalini, I discovered that while Kundalini is said to open serious spititual pathways and glorious states of awareness for the enlightened person, this same power, tapped by the unprepared, can be harrowing. See 'Kundalini - The Evolutionary Energy in Man' by Gopi Krishna, a former accountant in India whose meditative practices unleashed the Kundalini power within him. An eloquent and fascinating read.
