This drawing, along with countless others, is one of a long line of strange Mayan glyph-like machines with unknown parts and functions. I have always been fascinated with the look of engines and victoian era machinery. These illustrations allow me to work with many combinations of parts and pieces to develop some sort of alien industrial design scheme for these surreal machines.

This piece definitely has a more organic feel to it, resembling some sort of armored serpentine beast
