This drawing is an old sketch of mine that I have always liked. For some reason, I got on a kick of drawing this weird guy with the steel jaw head. This drawing was initially an exercise in drawing and rendering hands. The hand is considered on of the more difficult body parts to draw, most probably because of the infinite variety of poses and configurations ithas in potential. The eye is the other.

My high school art teacher told this to our class, and it always stuck with me. I made an effort way back then to excel at drawing hands and eyes, as I reasoned it would improve all of my other drawing skills as well.
