This creature bears some resemblance to other 'Teeth Creature' sketches found here and in my sketchbooks, but in this case we see our surreal protagonist in some sort of alien landscape. He is approaching some sort of monolith with perhaps admiration, awe or fear. It's difficult to determine because he has no eyes, or really no face for that matter. We also see some additional monoliths off in the distance. The monolith capturing the monster's attention also seems to have some sort of appendage growing - or reaching - out from the face of the plinth. Is it merely a masonry boss, or... This drawing, as many in my sketchbook, are often created on the fly. I enjoy creating basic elements, adding as I go to populate the image. Often a story will emerge, and other elements are added to round out the narrative. |
