a r t i s t s

: Jim Woodring - One of my favorite artists. Mostly wordless surreal cartoons that at first glance look like children's book illustrations or family cartoons. Not for the unenlightened.

: Alex Grey - Another of my favorite artists. Psychedelic, visionary art that will blow your mind. This guy did the cover for the most recent Tool album Lateralus.

: Weird Art - great stuff, the name sez it all.

: Jeff Victor - cool cartoony Star Wars characters

: Stephen Blickenstaff - wow, is this guy's art cool. Crazy cartoony monsters and creatures. This guy did alot of the Odd Rods trading card sets.

: Salvatore Mazzola - friend and fellow Cleveland, Ohio artist Salvatore (Sam) Mazzola

: Eric Starr - Kent, Ohio tattoo artist extraordinaire. Eric's done all my work, I wouldn't trust anyone else - sane, sober or otherwise.

crazy stuff

: Japanese Semi Hot Rods - they are totally hot rods, just made out of Semis. Not partial - ahhh, forget it. Just check it out.

cool free mac os x stuff

: Focus - puts a movable, resizable icon on your desktop of the front most running application. Awesome. Free.

: Dejá Menu - displays the current application's main menu as a context menu when a key combination is pressed. Or do what I do and assign a button on your multibutton mouse for the key combo. Free.

: Quicksilver - keyboard based launcher. Hit a keystroke, type a few letters, and open anything on your hard drive–files, applications and tons more features. Really awesome. Must–have. Free.

: pod2go - syncs all sorts of info from the internet (such as news, weather, movies, lyrics, etc) to your iPod via the Notes and Contacts features. You guessed it - awesome and free.

: Menu Calendar - pop up calendar in your menubar. Neat and free.

: AcidSearch - Safari search box tweak. Free and cool.

cool not free mac os x stuff

: Sambucus - Jeez is it that difficult to create a useable, featured freelance job timer? I guess I was spoiled by Muti-Timer Pro for OS 9. I swear I've tried at least 15 different OS X timer/invoicing apps, and they are all missing some feature somewhere, or just too damn hard to even figure out how to use. This little app needs more exposure, it's perfect so far, and I've only used it for about an hour! It's cheap too, only $20, and I'll be signing up once I'm sure it's as cool as I think it is now.

: Synergy - iTunes keyboard/menubar controller. Cheap and cool.

: WeatherMenu - Menubar weather report. Cheap and cool.

useful stuff

: Cheap Frisbees

: Take Better Photos - great, simple photo tips

: Cheap webhosting - reviews & comparisons of bargain webhosting

: Guitar Geek - wanna know how the pros set up their rigs?

: AddAll - book price comparison site, new & used books

useless stuff

: Zero - a history of the number Zero

weird stuff

: Toast toaster - a mural of a toaster made out of toast...

: The Brick Testament - LEGO Bible. You won't believe it.

: The Church of the SubGenius - You're already a minister of 'the Church' and you probably don't even know it! Unless you do know it, then you probably aren't... It's not free, but what church is?

From the site: NO OTHER MIND-CONTROL CULT CAN BEAT OUR LOW, LOW DEATH-DEALING PRICES! MONEY BACK GUARANTEE!!!

cool stuff

: The Daily Grail - offbeat news link site. Awesome.

: Wind Walkers - crazy, huge art machines that walk via wind power, and a crappy movie showing one in action

: ItchyRobot - cool link/blog site where I snagged a bunch of these links

: Odd Rods - old trading cards with cartoon monsters in cars. Sweet.

: Mona Lisa Descending a Staircase - great animated film, sort of a visual history of art. Fairly long preview clip on the page

: Time Slice Films - this guy pioneered the Matrix 'bullet time' effect way back in the 80's. Has an info page on how he made the first cameras, pretty neat.

: Rotten Tomatoes - great movie review site

: The Word Detective - word & phrase origins site

just plain 'ol stuff

: Devilstrip - my band's site

: Sternisha - my buddy Todd's site

: Craniometrics - my buddy Garth's site
